Updated Information for Latvian Nationals Regarding the Situation in Israel

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs that on 22 June, ten Latvian nationals departed from Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, to Chișinău, Moldova.

The evacuation flight from Tel Aviv, Israel, was organised by the Embassy of Ukraine to Israel in cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine to Egypt.

Thus far, a total of 42 Latvian nationals have departed Israel via evacuation flights organised by Ukraine, Lithuania, and Slovakia through Egypt and Jordan, of whom 13 have left on their own.

In total, since the escalation of the security situation in the region on 13 June, 55 Latvian nationals have departed from Israel.

We stress that the possibilities for leaving Israel are constantly changing, and we urge you to stay in contact with the Consular Department.

A state of emergency has been declared in Israel, and all official institutions, including the Embassy of Latvia, are closed until further notice. However, diplomats continue to carry out their duties.
