On 10 and 11 December 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, will meet with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cyprus, Constantinos Kombos, during a working visit.

The Ministers will discuss bilateral cooperation between Latvia and Cyprus and issues on the EU agenda, including Cyprus’ upcoming Presidency of the EU Council in the first half of 2026, the security situation in Europe, strengthening the EU’s external borders, illegal migration and the instrumentalisation of migration, continued support for Ukraine’s self-defence and the containment of Russia. The Officials will also discuss Latvia’s priorities in the UN Security Council in 2026 and 2027.
