The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, will meet her colleagues from the United Kingdom, Slovenia, Germany, and Sweden during bilateral visits to Riga.
- The Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr Johann Wadephul, will be on a visit on Monday, 26 January 2026.
- Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of the Republic of Slovenia, Tanja Fajon, will be on a visit on Tuesday, 27 January 2026.
- The Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden, Maria Malmer Stenergard, will be on a visit on Wednesday, 28 January 2026.
- The Minister of State for Europe, North America and Overseas Territories of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, Stephen Doughty, will be on a visit on Wednesday, 28 January 2026.
During bilateral talks, Foreign Ministers will address current transatlantic cooperation and security matters, support for Ukraine and containment of Russia, cooperation between NATO and the EU, current EU-related issues, including work on the Multiannual Financial Framework, EU enlargement, Latvia’s priorities in the UN Security Council, and expansion of bilateral cooperation in the fields of economy, defence, and education.
The Foreign Ministers of Slovenia and Sweden will also visit the troops from their countries stationed at Camp Ādaži military base.
The Foreign Ministers of Germany, Slovenia, and Sweden will also address Latvian Ambassadors at the annual meeting of diplomatic representatives in Riga, which will take place on 26–30 January 2026.
