On Monday, 4 August 2025, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, will welcome the Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration of Moldova, Cristina Gherasimov, on a working visit to Latvia.

The officials will discuss the topics of the European Union (EU) enlargement, support for Moldova’s reforms on its path to the EU, and the domestic political situation in Moldova ahead of the parliamentary election this coming 28 September.

Cristina Gherasimov will also meet with the Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Artjoms Uršuļskis, the Chair of the Saeima Foreign Affairs Committee, Ināra Mūrniece, and the Chair of the Saeima European Affairs Committee, Edmunds Cepurītis.
