On 26 August 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, will pay a working visit to Sweden.
During the visit, the Minister will address Swedish ambassadors at a meeting, meet with Sweden's Minister of Foreign Affairs Maria Malmer Stenergard to discuss current regional security and defence challenges, and will participate in the Women in Business working lunch for women business leaders.
The Minister will also visit the defence and security company Scandinavian Astor Group, the Embassy of Latvia in Sweden, give an interview to the Swedish newspaper Svenska Dagbladet, and meet with representatives of the Latvian diaspora in Sweden.
A joint press conference by the Latvian and Swedish Foreign Ministers will be streamed live at 12.30 (Latvian time) on the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs’ YouTube channel.
