On Monday, 3 August 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, will pay a working visit to Moldova. During the visit, the Minister will meet with the President of Moldova, Maia Sandu; the Prime Minister, Vasile Tofan; and the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mihai Popșoi.
The discussions are expected to focus on bilateral relations between Latvia and Moldova, Moldova’s progress towards European Union membership, and Latvia’s support for the implementation of reforms. The officials will also discuss the security situation in the region, the strengthening of Moldova’s resilience against hybrid threats, and the impact of Russia’s war of aggression against Ukraine.
