On 3 November 2025, the State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Andžejs Viļumsons, and experts from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs together with foreign diplomats in charge of economic matters will go on a regional tour to Daugavpils, visit the Latgale Planning Region and explore the business opportunities offered.
During the tour, the visitors will become acquainted with the leading companies from both Latgale region and Rēzekne Special Economic Zone and their offer, as well as having meetings with businesspeople and officials from the region’s local governments.
A presentation of business opportunities in Latgale and a networking session titled “Lunch with Entrepreneurs” will take place in the city of Daugavpils. The participants will be introduced to current business trends, prospects and challenges in the region, as well as having a discussion, in an informal atmosphere, on cooperation offers and the broadening of potential export markets.
This visit offers an important platform for meeting diplomats from more than 16 countries and building international contacts with a view to strengthening economic ties, promoting investment attraction and fostering the international competitiveness of Latgale region.
The visit by foreign diplomats is organised by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia, in co-operation with the Latgale Planning Region, Latgale Special Economic Zone and Latgale Business Centre.
