On 29 and 30 October 2025, the Minister of Foreign affairs Baiba Braže, while on a working visit to France, will meet with the French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Noël Barrot, discuss bilateral and economic cooperation, security situation in Europe, the strengthening of the EU and NATO external borders, migration issues, further support to Ukraine, and constraining Russia, including work on the next package of sanctions.

The Ministers will also exchange views on cooperation between the two countries in the EU, including work on the EU’s next Multiannual Financial Framework and EU enlargement, in NATO and other international formats, and Latvia’s priorities for its term on the UN Security Council (2026-2027). 

Baiba Braže will take part in the Paris Peace Forum. The Minister is also scheduled to meet with other senior officials, members of the business community and the media.
