On 7 September 2026, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, will host the Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ararat Mirzoyan, who will pay a working visit to Latvia from 6 to 8 September. The ministers will discuss strengthening relations between Armenia and the EU, bilateral relations and prospects for practical cooperation in various sectors, cooperation within international organisations, security and economic challenges in both regions, and opportunities for closer cooperation.

At the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, a Protocol between the Government of the Republic of Latvia and the Government of the Republic of Armenia on the implementation of the Agreement between the European Union and the Republic of Armenia on the readmission of persons residing without authorisation will be signed.

During the visit, the Armenian Foreign Minister will meet with representatives of Latvian businesses and, together with Parliamentary Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dace Melbārde, will discuss geopolitical challenges in the regional context during a roundtable discussion.
