On 1 December 2025, while in London for a working visit, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, will meet with the Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs of the United Kingdom, Yvette Cooper.

The ministers will discuss support for Ukraine’s self-defence capabilities, including cooperation in the Drone Coalition co-led by Latvia and the UK, and constraining Russia through coordinated sanctions, notably against the shadow fleet and its ecosystem. Views will also be shared on bilateral cooperation in security, defence and economy, cooperation in NATO and transatlantic relations, deepening relations between the European Union and the UK, as well as Latvia’s priorities for its term on the UN Security Council (2026-2027). The UK is one of the permanent members of the UNSC.
