On Friday, 20 February 2026, at 16:00, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Baiba Braže, will meet with the new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United States of America, Melissa Argyros, who has arrived in Latvia on an accreditation visit.
The officials will discuss existing bilateral cooperation between Latvia and the United States of America, as well as explore ways to deepen the cooperation in the areas of security, the economy, energy, and new technologies.

The ceremony accrediting the U.S. Ambassador will take place at Riga Castle on the morning of 20 February 2026.
