Ambassador Kārlis Eihenbaums called for more active dialogue and cooperation, and noted the responsible role of all UN member states, which is particularly important in today’s turbulent geopolitical circumstances, with aggressive wars of conquest being waged and conflicts are taking place in the Middle East, Africa, and elsewhere. The Ambassador expressed his hope that a just peace would soon be achieved in Ukraine, that Russia’s aggressive war against Ukraine was not a regional war, it affects everyone, foreign soldiers and weapons from the Asian region are also involved in the war, killing Ukrainians, killing everyone, children, the elderly, and women. The war has exacerbated economic, food, health, environmental, and climate problems, all of which are also important to Vietnam. The Ambassador also stressed the need to improve the global and regional security situation in order to ensure strict compliance with international law and the principles of state sovereignty and territorial integrity.
