On 3 February 2026, Ingrīda Levrence, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia to the Slovak Republic, was accredited in Bratislava. During a formal ceremony, the Latvian Ambassador presented her letter of credence to the President of the Slovak Republic Peter Pellegrini.
Latvia highly appreciates Slovakia’s significant contribution to NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battle Group in Latvia. The two countries are united by active bilateral cooperation and regular high-level visits.

Ambassador Ingrīda Levrence took up her duties in Vienna on 17 September 2025, succeeding Ambassador Guna Japiņa, who had represented Latvia’s interests in Austria since 2021.
