On 9 September 2025, Baku hosted the fourth meeting of the Latvia-Azerbaijan Strategic Dialogue, which addressed the topics of bilateral cooperation between Latvia and Azerbaijan, regional and international security matters, as well as cooperation within international organizations. The meeting was co-chaired by the Under Secretary of State, Political Director at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Ivars Lasis, and the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan, Fariz Rzayev.
