Visa-free entry agreements provide that you may enter and stay in a country without a visa if the purpose of your trip is a short-term private visit or tourism. If you plan to stay in the country to study or work, you must apply for a visa in advance at the embassy of the relevant country. Please note that exemption from the visa requirement or the presence of a visa does not guarantee entry into a foreign country. The border guards of each country make an individual decision on entry permission.

Attention! Please contact the representative office of the relevant foreign country before your trip to clarify the current restrictions and requirements for immigrants, as well as to follow the information in the Travel Warnings (in Latvian).
