On 7-8 May 2025, in Warsaw, Poland, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Baiba Braže, is taking part in an informal meeting of the European Union (EU) foreign affairs ministers in the Gymnich format. At the meeting, the EU Ministers of Foreign Affairs will be joined by the UK Secretary of State for Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Affairs, David Lammy.

By tradition, a Gymnich meeting also includes a joint session of the EU Member State foreign affairs ministers with their counterparts from EU candidate countries. The foreign affairs ministers of potential candidates – Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Moldova, Serbia, Türkiye, Ukraine, and Kosovo – are to join the present meeting.

Foreign Minister Baiba Braže will also speak in a high-level discussion titled Europe Under Attack: Seeking a United Response to Russia’s Hybrid Warfare at the Warsaw Security Forum’s Public Dialogue.
