On 5 July 2021, the Latvian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edgars Rinkēvičs, shall be meeting with the Vice-President of the Federal Council, Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, Ignazio Cassis, who arrives in Latvia on an official visit.
The officials will discuss the latest international developments, the relations between the EU and Switzerland, as well as bilateral cooperation.
During the visit, meetings have been scheduled with the President of Latvia, Egils Levits, and the Speaker of the Saeima (the Latvian Parliament), Ināra Mūrniece, as well as a flower laying ceremony at the Freedom Monument.
