Today, 27 May 2026, the Russian Chargé d’Affaires was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, where he was presented with a note of protest categorically condemning Russia’s latest large-scale airstrikes against Ukraine during the night of 23–24 May. The attacks targeted civilian infrastructure and civilians in Kyiv and its suburbs, injuring more than a hundred Ukrainian citizens, several of whom were killed.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs also strongly condemned the statement issued by the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on 25 May 2026, urging foreign citizens, diplomatic missions, and international organisations to leave Kyiv due to Russia’s plans to attack the city.
