On 22 September 2022, in Tbilisi, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia, Edīte Medne, presented her credentials to Her Excellency President of Georgia, Salome Zourabichvili.
In a conversation with the President of Georgia, the Ambassador confirmed that Latvia was a trustworthy partner to Georgia and a support in its Euro-Atlantic aspirations, committed to the strengthening of political dialogue and promoting of cooperation in economy, culture and other areas.
In her post, Ambassador Edīte Medne succeeds Ingrīda Levrence, who was serving as Ambassador to Georgia since 2018.
