Latvijas ārkārtējais un pilnvarotais vēstnieks Andris Razāns iesniedz akreditācijas vēstuli Ēģiptes Arābu Republikas prezidentam Abdelfatāham Alsisī (Abdel Fattah el-Sisi)

On 17 December 2023 in Cairo, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia, Andris Razāns, presented his credentials to the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

The Ambassador attaches high value to friendly relations between the countries and intends to be actively engaged in the strengthening of the bilateral political dialogue and economic relations, including by providing support to Latvian businesses who wish to operate in the Egyptian market.

Ambassador Andris Razāns succeeds Ilmārs Breidaks, who held the ambassadorial post in Egypt since 2020.

The Latvian Embassy in Egypt has been operational since 2007, and its main tasks include the strengthening of the poltical dialogue and the economic and cultural relations.

Egypt is Latvia’s largest trade partner in North Africa.
