On 18 January 2022 in Zagreb, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Latvia, Agnese Kalniņa, submitted her credentials to the President of the Republic of Croatia, Zoran Milanović.

The official accreditation ceremony was followed by a brief conversation with the President, at which the officials exchanged views on bilateral relations between the two countries.

As part of her accreditation visit, the Latvian Ambassador met with the Foreign Policy Adviser to the President, Neven Pelicarić, officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and European Integration of Croatia – the State Secretary for European Affairs, Andreja Metelko-Zgombić, the Director of the European Department, Ines Troha, the State Secretary for Political Affairs, Frano Matušić – and the Chairperson of the European Affairs Committee at the Croatian Parliament, Domagoj Hajduković. A meeting also took place with the Honorary Consul of Latvia in Croatia, Davor Šarin.

The Ambassador of Latvia to Croatia, Agnese Kalniņa, resides in Budapest, Hungary.
