On 27 April 2023, in Chisinau, the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Baltic and Nordic (NB8) countries and Moldova agreed on a joint declaration. The NB8 Foreign Ministers express their support for Moldova’s security, resilience and integration with the EU.
The visit of the NB8 Foreign Ministers to Moldova is taking place within the framework of the Latvian year of coordination in the Baltic and Nordic format. The overarching goal set by Latvia for NB8 cooperation in 2023 is “Building a future security environment”, and the priorities are the strengthening of the rules-based international order, strengthening of military security and deterrence capabilities, and strengthening of resilience.
