On 25 March 2024 at 13.00, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Latvian Association of Politically Repressed persons, in remembrance of the victims of political repression during the 1949 communist genocide, are holding a commemoration ceremony outside the “History Tactile” Memorial to the Victims of the Soviet Occupation at Latviešu strēlnieku laukums 1.
The event will be attended by senior state officials.
After the commemorative event, the repressed persons and other participants will move in procession to the Freedom Monument to lay flowers.
