The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs (hereinafter – the OCMA) has developed a convenient and functional electronic tool (hereinafter – the e-tool) for third-country nationals who legally reside in the territory of the Republic of Latvia. It enables users to quickly and easily obtain information about the process of applying for and receiving a Schengen short-stay visa and a national long-stay visa.

The visa e-tool is available on the OCMA website www.pmlp.gov.lv under the section “Visas and invitations” – “Visa issuance at OCMA.” It provides comprehensive information on:

  • applying for a Schengen short-stay visa and a national long-stay visa,
  • the submission process for required documents,
  • payment conditions and visa issuance, as well as
  • the amount of the state fee and payment procedures.

The new visa e-tool helps users become familiar with all requirements step by step, making the process more transparent and convenient, as well as provides a modern and user-friendly way to navigate the extensive information related to long-stay and short-stay visa applications.

The e-tool is available in both Latvian and English: vizucelvedis.pmlp.gov.lv.

If necessary, please contact the Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs by phone at +371 67219185.

More information at: The Office of Citizenship and Migration Affairs has developed a digital guide for the visa application process.

The project is implemented within the framework of the Instrument for Financial Support for Border Management and Visa Policy 2021–2027 planning period, with the Ministry of the Interior as the managing authority in Latvia.
