Akreditācijas vēstuli saņem Latvijas vēstniece Apvienotajos Arābu Emirātos Dana Goldfinča

On 27 July 2023 in Riga Castle, the President of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, presented the letter of credence to the next Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to the United Arab Emirates, Dana Goldfinča.

Since the beginning of her diplomatic career at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1998, Ms Goldfinča has worked in the Consular Department and the Asia, Africa and Oceania Division, headed the Asia and Oceania Division, as well as served as deputy Head of Mission at the Embassies of the Republic of Latvia in the People’s Republic of China and Japan. Dana Goldfinča has also taken part in the Transatlantic Diplomatic Fellowship Program of the United States Department of State.

From 2019 to 2023, Ms Goldfinča served as Foreign Affairs Adviser to the Prime Minister and, until now, as Counsellor at the Political Director’s Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. 

The new Ambassador holds her Bachelor’s degree in the Chinese Language and a Master of Social Sciences degree in Political Sciences from the University of Latvia, as well as a Master’s degree in Public Policy Analysis from Saitama University in Japan.

Dana Goldfinča succeeds current Ambassador Atis Sjanīts, who has held the post since 2019.
