Ambassador Teikmanis participates at opening of Printful branch in Charlotte and meets Mayor Jennifer Roberts

On November 15, 2016 Latvia’s Ambassador to the U.S. Andris Teikmanis participated in a ribbon cutting ceremony at the opening of the Latvian company Printful branch in Charlotte, North Carolina. In his remarks the Ambassador lauded Printful’s expansion in the U.S., which highlights Latvia’s achievements in innovation and its vision for development. The opening of Printful in Charlotte is a significant transatlantic investment leading to employment opportunities, economic growth, exchange of ideas and the furthering of innovative development. The Ambassador expressed hope that small and medium-sized U.S. businesses will  similarly be  active in investing in Latvia.

During his visit to North Carolina Ambassador Teikmanis also met with Mayor of Charlotte Jennifer Roberts and commented that Printful will help publicize Latvia in the U.S. as a modern European Union country. Mayor Roberts briefed the Ambassador on Charlotte’s business environment and support programs for new businesses. Charlotte is a growing finance and business center, where well-known companies such as Bank of America, Duke Energy and others are based.  At the same time fintech, solar energy, medicine and innovative material technologies are developing in this region.
