Record-high activity of voters abroad for February 18th National Referendum

On February 18, 2012 39,763 citizens of Latvia abroad participated in the national referendum on the Amendments to the Constitution of the Republic of Latvia. In the United States, 2950 citizens voted in total.

473 voters voted at the Embassy of Latvia in Washington, DC (that includes 269 votes by mail and 204 voting in person). This was the highest-ever turnout of voters abroad.
