Due to the extended state of emergency in Latvia the Embassy of Latvia in Turkey won’t be accepting visa applications until 09.06.2020. In emergency situation, please contact the embassy. We apologize for any inconvenience and thank you for your understanding!

Starting with March 11, 2019, the procedure for submitting long stay visa applications in Turkey has been changed.

Foreigners who need to stay in Latvia more than 90 days in 180-day period depending on the circumstances should apply for a long-stay visa (or a residence permit).

All the applicants for visa - for short term (type – C), long term (type – D)  are now requested to book an appointment for submission of the visa application at the VFS Global Latvia visa application centers in Turkey by contacting the call center at: +90 212 3735817.

Information for Schengen visa applicants (Type-C visa)

The revised Visa Code for Schengen visas (Type – C) will enter into force on February 2, 2020.

The following changes of the Visa Code are coming into force:
Visa fees
Schengen Visa: including transit and airport transit 80.00 EUR
children aged 6 – 11: 40.00 EUR
Applications Can be handed in up to 6 months prior to the intended trip (seaman 9 months prior).
Applications have to be lodged at least 15 days prior to the intended date of travel.

Applicants will be further informed about changes on the Embassy´s website and that of the external service provider VFS Global.
