On the Centenary of Latvia the Seoul City Council building illuminated in colours of the Latvian flag

On 18 November, to celebrate the Centenary of the Latvian state, the building of the Seoul City Council in the Korean capital was illuminated in the colours of the Latvian flag at the request of the Latvian Embassy, and a special video dedicated to the centenary of Latvia was displayed on the City Council’s screen.

The Embassy has developed a successful partnership with the municipality and its mayor PARK Won-soon.

The Latvian Embassy, opened on 15 September 2015, is one of the newest embassies in Seoul. The first resident Latvian ambassador, Pēteris Vaivars, was accredited on 15 January 2016.

The Latvian Embassy offers its gratitude to the City Council of Seoul for illuminating the municipality building and to the Latvian Institute for its support in the preparation of visual materials.
