Exhibition "The Beauty of European Faleristics" opened in Prague

On February 2 Prague hosted an opening of exhibition devoted to the honours of European Union member states "The Beauty of European Faleristics", which was attended by ambassadors of EU member states including Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia to the Czech Republic Argita Daudze. Exhibition was opened by the Prime Minister of Czech Republic Mirek Topolánek and it is one of events organized within the framework of Czech EU Presidency. The goal of the exhibition is to reveal the diversity of EU member states and at the same time show how similar they are tradition-wise.

The first stand exhibits Latvian Three Star order (5 classes) and First, Second and Third Level Medals of Honour. The Latvian honours are exhibited thanks to successful cooperation of Latvian State Standard Monitoring Inspection (Valsts proves uzraudzības inspekcija) (headed by Pēters Brangulis) and Embassy of Latvia in Prague.

The exhibition will be open to the visitors in Hrzánský Palace until March 2, 2009.
