The Film “Those Who Dare” was screened on the Occasion of Baltic Unity Day

On 22 September the Embassies of Latvia, Lithuania and Estonia in Prague marked the Day of the Baltic Unity by screening the Icelandic directors Ólafur Rögnvaldssonand Kolfinna Baldvinsdóttir’s film “Those who dare” about the Baltic countries’ struggle for restoration of independence at the end of the last century and the visit of the Icelandic Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jón Baldvin Hannibalsson, to Baltic countries in January 1991. H. E. Mr. Alberts Sarkanis, Ambassador of the Republic of Latvia, stressed this film reminds us that even small states, with respect to international law and historical justice, acting honestly and selflessly, may crucially influence the course of political development in the world.

The event, attended by Czech journalists and diplomatic corp, was held in cooperation with Prague Film School.
