On 8 November, conference „The Baltic and Visegrad States: After Twenty Years of Shared Interest in Europe” has taken place

To commemorate 20th anniversary of Latvian and Czech diplomatic relations renewal, the conference „The Baltic and Visegrad States: After Twenty Years of Shared Interest in Europe” has taken place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Czech Republic. Conference has focused on current issues of th EU – „Challenges of the European Economic Administration”, „Future of the Eastern Partnership in the Perspective of the Baltic States and Visegrad States” and „Security of the Delivery of Energy and then – Contribution of Baltic and Visegrad States”. The idea of such conference has come from the Latvian embassy in Prague and it is organized by the Institute of International Relations.

Conference was attended by representatives of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Czech Republic and NGOs from Latvia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Poland, Lithuania, Slovakia and Hungary. Latvia was represented by Head of the EU Directorate from Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Latvia and Director of the Latvian Institute of Foreign Affairs, Andris Sprūds.
