A state visit of the President of the Republic of Latvia, Valdis Zatlers and Mrs Lilita Zatlere to Czech Republic will take place on 30 and 31 August. During the visit President Zatlers will have meetings with the President of the Czech Republic Václav Klaus, Prime Minister Petr Nečas and others. Together with President Klaus he will participate in a wreath laying ceremony at Vitkov National Memorial.
President Zatlers will also open an exhibition The Baltic Way That Moved The World in Faculty of Arts, Charles University in Prague, and will visit the Latvian Culture centre at the Embassy of Latvia
The President will take part in the Czech-Latvian Business Seminar, which is organised by the Czech Ministry of Industry and Trade together with the Latvian Investment and Development Agency. The seminar will provide an important contact-making opportunity for Latvian entrepreneurs, representing metalworking, heating engineering, wood processing and power sectors, and their potential associates in Czech Republic.
President Zatlers was in Prague on a working visit earlier this year to participate in a meeting between the Heads of State of Eastern and Central European countries and President Barack Obama.
