The Sanctions Coordination Council gathers for its second meeting

On 14 October 2019, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted the second meeting of the Sanctions Coordination Council, which featured discussions on the enforcement of the Law on International Sanctions and National Sanctions of the Republic of Latvia and sanctions by the U.S. Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC).

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs briefed representatives of institutions on the initiative of creating a section of the Foreign Ministry website where the publicly available sanctions-related materials produced by all competent authorities would be posted.

The Sanctions Coordination Council is an advisory body established by the Cabinet for the purpose of coordinating the activities of the competent authorities which are responsible for the enforcement of international or national sanctions.
