On 28 June 2019, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edgars Rinkēvičs, will be in the Republic of Moldova on a working visit to discuss, with the leadership of that Eastern Partnership country, the developments following the parliamentary elections held in February and to express Latvia’s support for further reforms.
During the visit, the Foreign Ministers will have meetings with the representatives of the new Moldovan government – the Prime Minister Maia Sandu and the Minister for Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nikolae Popescu – as well as the President of Moldova, Igor Dodon, and the Speaker of the Parliament, Zinaida Greceanîi.
The previous visit by the Foreign Minister Edgars Rinkēvičs to the Republic of Moldova took place on 6–7 November 2017.
