From 14 to 16 March in London, the Parliamentary Secretary Zanda Kalniņa-Lukaševica will take part in an annual high-level seminar on issues of current importance for the European Union (EU), organised by the Friends of Europe think tank. This year’ event is titled The Potential of Collective Power.
The main topics covered by the seminar are Brexit, the upcoming elections to the European Parliament, as well as the understanding of the European project, its strengths and weaknesses.
The participants will also discuss climate change, air pollution, space exploration and the future of the monetary sector.
The seminar brings together representatives from national governments, journalists, businessmen, researchers and artists. The speakers include Amara Graps, the founder of Baltics in Space and leading researcher of the Institute of Astronomy at the University of Latvia; Zanny Minton Beddoes, the Editor-in-Chief at The Economist; and Clément Beaune, the advisor to the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, on Europe and G20.
