Edgars Rinkēvičs to attend the Northern Future Forum in Oslo

On 29–30 October 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edgars Rinkēvičs, will take part in the Northern Future Forum in Oslo and join a discussion with Prime Ministers of Norway, Denmark, Iceland, Sweden, Finland, Estonia and the United Kingdom, as well as the Foreign Minister of Lithuania on the role of technologies in healthcare services in the future. The meeting will focus on common challenges and the sharing of successful innovative solutions to enable the member states of the forum to learn from each other’s best practice. The participants will also exchange views about pressing issues on the EU’s and international agenda.

The Northern Future Forum brings together prime ministers, experts, researchers and NGO leaders from the Nordic countries, the Baltic States and the United Kingdom for a discussion on the region’s prosperity, sustainable development, competitiveness and other matters of current importance. The forum has been held since 2011 and in 2013, it was hosted by Riga.
