On 25 May 2018, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Edgars Rinkēvičs, will met with the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign and European Affairs of Croatia, Marija Pejčinović Burić, who is coming to Latvia for an official visit.
At their meeting, Edgars Rinkēvičs and Marija Pejčinović Burić intend to discuss current bilateral relations between Latvia and Croatia, the EU-related topics and security policy issues.
The Foreign Minister of Croatia is also to meet with the Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Economy, Arvils Ašeradens; the Deputy Speaker of the Saeima (the Latvian Parliament), Inese Lībiņa–Egnere; the Chairperson of the European Affairs Committee, Lolita Čigāne; and the Director of the NATO Strategic Communications Centre of Excellence, Jānis Sārts.
During her visit, the Croatian Foreign Minister will see an exhibition entitled “State before State” prepared by the National History Museum and present a book as a gift to the People’s Bookshelf at the National Library of Latvia.
