Latvian Foreign Minister offers condolences to Iran over the attacks in Tehran

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Latvia, Edgars Rinkēvičs, on behalf of Latvia, offers deepest condolences to Iran in relation to the attacks on the Iranian parliament and the Mausoleum of Ayatollah Khomeini in Tehran on 7 June.

Edgars Rinkēvičs expresses sympathy with the families and friends of the victims. The Minister emphasises once again that Latvia strongly condemns any acts of terrorism and violence.

According to reports, at least twelve people have been killed and several dozens injured. “The Islamic State” terrorist group has claimed responsibility for the armed attacks.
