On 11 June 2001 at 11:00 in the Press Conference Hall of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (2nd floor) the opening of the exhibition "An Enduring Relationship: Latvia and U.S., 1922 - 2001", which tells about the relations between Latvia and the USA from July 1922, when the USA recognised the Republic of Latvia de iure, till nowadays, will be held. The exhibition features documents and illustrative materials that testify to continuity and development of the relations between the two countries. The opening of the exhibition will be joined by Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Indulis Berzins and the Ambassador of the United States of America to Latvia Mr James H. Holmes.
This exhibition introduces the first course of intramural lectures on public relations for the employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The lectures will be delivered by lecturers from the Vidzeme University College, Director of the Latvian Institute Mr Ojars Kalnins, Head of the U.S. Information Resource Center Mr Gregory B. Elftmann and other PR specialists.
