ANNOUNCEMENT REGARDING THE PROVISION OF CONSULAR SERVICES
In view of the state of emergency in Latvia and measures for containing the COVID-19 pandemic abroad, the Embassy of Latvia in Japan from 16 March until 14 April:
- will not provide consular services in person;
- will not accept applications for Latvian residence permits;
- will not accept visa applications (except in cases related to national interests or humanitarian reasons);
- will continue to ensure emergency consular assistance.
The purpose of these changes is in order to observe precautionary measures and to prevent the spread of virus as much as possible.
The uninterrupted functioning of the Embassy, including the possibility to contact the employees by telephone, e-mail, fax or mail, will remain in place.
