The Ambassador of Latvia, Alda Vanaga, accredited in Denmark

On 21 September 2018 in Copenhagen, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Latvia to Denmark, Alda Vanaga, presented her credentials to the Queen of Denmark, Margrethe II.

Queen Margrethe II remembered with pleasure her visit to Latvia in 1992, when people were full of hope and strongly believed in the future of their country.

During the conversation with the Queen of Denmark, the ambassador thanked her for Denmark's strong and continuous support to Latvia both at the beginning of state's independence and also currently. The Ambassador mentioned the planned visit of Crown Prince Frederik to Latvia in the beginning of December as well as briefly touched upon the "Tabakas Fabrika" project, and expressed her satisfaction for this beautiful gift of Denmark to Latvia in its centenary.

On 6 and 7 December, the Danish Crown Prince Frederik together with Crown Princess Mary will pay a state visit to Latvia. The visit will take place honouring the centenary of the Latvian state and is a testimony of the close and friendly relationship between Latvia and Denmark.
