Last week The National Health Service of the Republic of Latvia received the second delivery from China with personal protective equipment items – 500,000 surgical masks and 30,000 FFP2 respirators. Items are already being delivered to Latvian health care institutions and family doctors.
Delivery to Latvia and Estonia was organized by the help of Investment and Development Agency of Latvia (LIAA) public representative in China Martin Yin in cooperation with the Estonian and Latvian embassies in China, as well as the support of two Latvian diaspora entrepreneurs (Krists Solovejs, Jānis Donis).
Martin has already donated 60 thousand much-needed masks to Latvia, and they will be delivered to Latvia with one of the next flights.
With Martin's assistance the North Estonia Medical Center (PERH) ordered and also received 1.5 million masks, 30,000 FFP2 respirators, 20,000 hazmat suits, 5,000 pairs of protective goggles and 500,000 pairs of protective gloves.
