Embassy of Latvia to the U.S.A., along with the Delegation of the European Union to the United States and the Embassies of 28 EU Member States to the United States will open their doors to the Washington public during the EU Embassies’ Open House Day. This annual event is the highlight of the Washington spring calendar and will be celebrated on May 13th, 2017.
Each embassy will open their doors to the public from 10 am until 4 pm, offering a rare look inside the buildings. The day will provide a unique opportunity to experience the country’s cultural heritage and national traditions.

In preparation for Latvia’s centennial in 2018, the Embassy of Latvia will present the following performances outside our Embassy:
The Latvian folk ensemble “Sudrabavots” will be performing traditional Latvian songs between 10:15 and 12:00
From 12:00 – 2:00 the Washington-area folk dance troupe “Namejs” will be performing folk dances. They will be wearing national dresss unique to Latvia!
Both groups are preparing for the Latvian Song Festival to be held in Baltimore this summer.
