Foreigner holding a valid Latvian visa issued prior to Latvia's accession to the Schengen area, may enter Latvia and stay in Latvia for the period indicated in visa. This visa is not valid to enter and stay in the other Schengen countries. Short-term visas issued by Latvia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia and Hungary will be valid for necessary transit through the territories of the Latvia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovenia, Slovakia and Hungary until 30 June 2008.
