Latvian Embassy takes part in the international Study in Europe Fair 2017 in Seoul, the Republic of Korea

For two days, on 28-29 October, the Embassy of Latvia in the Republic of Korea presented a special stand at the Study in Europe Fair 2017, an annual event of international significance organised by the European Union Delegation to Korea, and held an informational session on study opportunities in Latvia. The fair was hosted by Seoul, the capital of the Republic of Korea.

Representing Latvia, the Embassy offered individual advice to Korean students and their parents on study opportunities in Latvia, including on programmes provided by institutions of higher education, state-granted scholarships, and various administrative and practical issues. The main interest on the part of Koreans was in art, medicine and linguistics studies.

The second day saw an informational session with the Embassy staff making presentations on Latvia, its education system, study programmes and recent developments in the education sector.

The Embassy offers its gratitude to the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Latvia for cooperation in providing materials and compiling information on the opportunities to study in Latvia. Institutions responsible for education export, representatives from universities and other higher schools are kindly requested to respond actively to invitations to participate in the international education fairs in the Republic of Korea and provide potential Korean students with an in-depth overview of study and training opportunities in Latvia.

A total of 20 European Union Member States took part in the Study in Europe Fair 2017, including national embassies and 80 higher education institutions from across the EU.
