On 26 May the State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Andrejs Pildegovičs met with the Czech Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Jakub Dürr who came to Latvia to hold a political consultation. Both officials spoke about relations with Eastern Partnership countries, topical aspects of security policy and other news in international relations.
In dialogue with the Deputy State Secretary at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Inga Skujiņa topics such as the future of European Union or energy policies were discussed. Both sides shared the view that EU states unity should be preserved.
Representatives of the both states expressed their interest to stimulate Latvian and Czech dialogue and continue in the political consultations.
