Foreign Minister to take part in informal EU foreign minister meeting in Avignon [05 Sep 2008]
On 5 and 6 September Foreign Minister Maris Riekstins will participate in an informal meeting of EU foreign ministers, (Gymnich), in Avignon, France.

On 3 September, Foreign Ministry representative Raimonds Vingris took up his post at the Office of the EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus. Mr Vingris will fulfil the functions of a Political Advisor.
