Payment of the fee for requesting documents must be submitted along with the request form, in the form of a money order or certified / corporate cheque made out to: Embassy of Latvia. The Embassy can only take exact cash for payment in person, does not accept personal cheques, and cannot accommodate the use of credit or debit cards. Request for criminal records check: In order to request a document regarding a criminal record, or lack thereof, you must submit to the Embassy:
Request for birth certificates, marriage certificates, death certificates and other documents: If you wish to obtain an official document issued in Latvia (a birth certificate, marriage certificate, death certificate or other document) you must submit to the Embassy either by mail or in person:
The Embassy cannot take responsibility for information submitted on the forms, and notes that the processing fee is non-refundable, even in the event that the document requested from Latvia is not available. To insure that the document will print correctly, check to see that the margins are correct: under "File",choose "Page Set-up", and under "margins", it should read 19.05 cm for all margins.
