Heads of Protocol of Baltic and Nordic countries meet in Riga [26 Mar 2010]

On 26 March, a meeting of Heads of Protocol of the Baltic and Nordic countries is being held in Riga where the Head of State Protocol, Aivars Groza, meets with his counterparts from Estonia, Denmark, Iceland, Lithuania, Norway and Sweden.

The Heads of Protocol will review the diplomatic protocol topics currently of importance for the Baltic and Nordic countries, as well as seek solutions to common problems.

As part of the session, the visitors will meet with Chief of the Protocol Division of the Saeima, Inese Petersone, and Director of the Latvian Institute, Ojars Kalnins, who will acquaint them with the most significant sights of Old Riga.

The Baltic and Nordic Heads of Protocol convene for their annual meetings in the order of rotation in one of the Baltic and Nordic countries.
